DIY HOMEMADE NON-TOXIC CLEANERS

Some of the best household cleaners come from ingredients you already have in your pantry. Whip up your own homemade cleaner that are easy on your wallet and the earth.

DISINFECTING SURFACE CLEANER:  Wipe away grime with this gentle yet effective surface cleaner. 

White distilled vinegar   Clean, distilled water Essential oils

In a bowl, mix equal parts vinegar and water together.

If desired, add 5 to 10 drops of essential oil, per 2 cups of mixture. 

Dampen a sponge mop or cloth with the mixture and get to work!

MIRRORS and WINDOWS:  Give your windows and mirrors a smudge free shine. 

¼ cup White Distilled Vinegar 2 Cups Water 12 Drops of Lemon essential oil

Pour the ingredients into a clean spray bottle and shake well. 

Spray on surface and wipe with a clean cloth. 

MULTIPURPOSE CLEANER:  Keep your home clean, fresh and safe with this ‘greener’ cleaner. 

1 Tbsp. of Liquid Castile Soap ½ cup of White Distilled Vinegar 1 ½ cups of Water

Take an empty spray bottle and combine liquid Castile soap, white distilled vinegar and water. 

Replace the cap and shake well. 

TOILET BOWL CLEANER: Simple with the best results. 

½ cup of Baking Soda 1 cup Distilled White Vinegar ½ tsp. Tea Tree Essential Oil

Combine baking soda, distilled white vinegar and tea tree oil in a spray bottle.

Spray the seat and the bowl and allow the mixture to sit for a few minutes. 

Add some baking soda inside the bowl and scrub with a brush. Flush. 

BATH and SHOWER:  Help prevent soap scum from building up with this cleaner. 

Baking Soda Castile Soap

Sprinkle baking soda liberally on tub and fixtures and rub with a wet rag. 

Add a little Castille soap to the rag for more cleaning power.
